In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.
The questline concentrates on "strange trials and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an special katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
